Privacy choices
Your information, your calls. This page gathers every privacy choice LocuPedia gives you in one place — what you can control, where to find it, and what happens when you use it. Last updated: August 2026.
The short version
You can access, correct, export and delete your personal information. You control what organizations see (nothing is shared before you apply or respond). You can opt out of non-essential emails. LocuPedia never sells personal information, and there are no advertising trackers to opt out of.
Access, correct, export, delete
Access & correct. Your profile, documents and account details are visible and editable in your settings at any time.
Export. Ask us for a copy of your information through contact — we’ll provide it in a readable format.
Delete. You can delete your account from settings or by writing to us. Deletion removes your profile and credential documents; we keep only what the law requires (for example, billing records retained under Canadian tax law) and de-identified aggregate statistics. Individual application records are purged 12 months after a post closes, as described in the privacy policy.
Who sees you
Nothing is visible to organizations before you apply or respond — there is no public directory of clinicians, and anonymous visitors see nothing at all. When you apply, the organization sees your profile and credential verification status, never your identity documents.
Organizations control their own visibility the same way: posts are visible to signed-in, verified clinicians only.
Messages and emails
Product emails — application updates, verification status, messages — are part of the service and can’t be switched off while you have an account.
Anything promotional or optional can be turned off from your notification settings, and every non-essential email carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click.
Cookies
LocuPedia uses only strictly necessary cookies — sign-in and security. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is nothing further to opt out of. Your browser controls let you block or clear cookies at any time; blocking the necessary ones will sign you out. Details live in the cookie policy.
Do not sell
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is nothing to opt out of — but if a law in your jurisdiction gives you an opt-out right anyway, consider this page your standing exercise of it: the answer is already no.
How to exercise any of this
Most choices are self-serve inside the product (settings, notifications, documents, account deletion). For anything else — access requests, exports, questions — write to us through contact. Privacy requests reach the team directly and are answered as quickly as we can.
